I had 'Your Baby Can Read' for my six-year-old when he was a baby and we watched it for a few years and did the program and it actually worked he went into preschool already knowing how to read. We did not have the complete set just the first three discs but that was enough to do the job. So now that I have my second son, who is 1 year old, I wanted the complete set and unfortunately didn't try harder to find the original version. This new version is good but there are things about it that I do not like as much. The most annoying thing being a child singing on a lot of the songs that is so horribly grating that I have to leave the room when the songs come on. High-pitched, nasally, headache inducing child. I wish I could trade the DVDs for the original set.

I purchased this and followed the program as directed. My daughter was 6mo old at that time. She didn't seem interested and I thought she wasn't paying attention, until she started to clap and wave like it shows on the video! She really is learning!!
